ICAT is an interdisciplinary research group comprised of faculty in the Department of Economics, Finance and Quantitative Analysis and Computer Science at Kennesaw State University. Our research group studies the economic, political, social, and ecological causes and consequences of conflict and conflict vulnerabilities. In our work, we take advantage of the growing number of available data for country analytical purposes. Methodologically, we emphasize data driven methods like regression analyses, simulations, and data visualizations. We use our analyses to identify public policies that reduce violence and help to restore peace. Our work emphasizes market economics and equitable social development as the foundation for conflict prevention and transformation.
